The Kanto region of Japan suffered heavy rainfall

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a Level 5 heavy rain special warning for many cities in Chiba Prefecture that night, which is the highest level warning in Japan's rainfall warning system.

The Japan Broadcasting Association reported that as of 20:45 local time, more than 46,000 households in Chiba Prefecture were without power.
